August 25, 2007: After decades in hiding this historic 1967 Scorpion made it's Minnesota debut at Princeton's Outlaw Grass Drags. Originally piloted by Duane Parks during the now-legendary Alaskan endurance run, this proud machine was later displayed in the lobby of the Trail-A-Sled plant in Crosby, Minnesota where it stood as as living testament to the brand's durability. One of only a handful of artifacts to be rescued from the tragic fire of November 1967, this historic machine was later sold at the Arctic Cat bankruptcy auction in 1982. Of the three Scorpions that braved the historic Alaskan endurance run, this is the only one known to remain intact. Related images: 1 2 3 4. See Terms of use. Link to Home. Other Recent images. |
